Hello my friends. It’s been a little while since I last spoke to you about life. I wanted to sit down this weekend (well, that’s when I’m writing this) and put together a post that was a little more personal, if for nothing else than to look back on.
As you might know, I have just moved to Orange County, CA from Phoenix, AZ. It’s been about 2 months since that transition happened, and I have to say, it’s been a very interesting ride. Jeff and I have been very focused on relocating out of Phoenix for years now, and so all of this time, I’ve had my eye on that prize. Now that we are here, it’s given me time to reflect on all of the things I have left behind in Phoenix. While California is beautiful and filled (seriously BURSTING) with opportunity, I have to admit that there are a lot of things that I am missing from that sunny city. Mostly it’s my friends. I left behind a wonderful group of people that took me 8 full years to find and bond with. I still talk to them, and I am still visiting from time to time because of Geek Girl Brunch, but it doesn’t help fill that void when I’ve had a hard day at work and I just need to grab a drink and vent.
