It’s February and I am back on track with the Hogwarts Faculty themed drinks. Next up on the list is one of the most delicious drinks I’ve made in my opinion. The Albus Dumbledore. This drink was largely inspired by this quote from the headmaster:
Would you care for a lemon drop?”
“A what?”
“A lemon drop. They’re a kind of Muggle sweet I’m rather fond of.— Albus Dumbledore to Minerva McGonagall
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
WHAT YOU NEED
Most of the drink recipes I’ve featured on the blog have been very simple 2 ingredient drinks. Well, this week’s is slightly more complicated but well worth the effort in my opinion.
– 1 shot lemon flavored vodka
– Sprite
– Coconut Whipped Cream (I found mine at Sprouts, but you can make it using recipes like this)
– Lemon zest
– Ice
HOW TO MAKE IT
Add ice to your glass. Add 1-2 shots of lemon vodka, depending on preference. Fill your drink the rest of the way with sprite. Stir ingredients together. Top with coconut whipped cream and lemon zest. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a straw if you’d like. I also loved stirring the whipped cream into the drink. It sort of reminded me of an Italian cream soda! So yummy!
And there you go! Not too hard, and it’s dairy free to boot!
I think Dumbledore would appreciate it anyways. It is lemon afterall 😉
