Lately, I’ve been playing a lot of World of Warcraft. People, I’m talking an LOT. I actually used to play the game all the time a few years back and quit right after Wrath of the Litch King came out. Fast forward a few years, and my boyfriend and I decided to pick it up again. So much for spending our free time doing actual productive things.
I went old-fashioned this time. I hard-boiled some eggs, and then let them cool. I prepared my dye, just like you would at Easter time.
Here’s where it gets weird. I took some small circle stickers and placed them randomly all over the un-dyed eggs. After the stickers were securely placed on the eggs, I dropped them in the dye for about 2 minutes. I used icing dye, so it was extra strong, and I didn’t need too much time. If you are using regular food coloring from your local grocery store, then I would recommend about 4 minutes, but play around with it. You don’t want them to get too dark.
After the egg is finished soaking in the dye, remove the egg and let it dry.Once it’s dry, go ahead and remove the stickers. This should leave a nice template for drawing the dots! For the dots, I used candy color markers.
So, use the pen to draw the dots, and boom! Murloc eggs 🙂
Eat them or bring them to your next WoW LAN party. Just keep them away from the wild beasts in the area:
