Hello chickadees! I have been posting pretty sporadically over the last couple months, and I really apologize for that. I wrote about it briefly a while back, but just to recap, I have been in the process of moving from Arizona to California. I have also been helping to plan the inaugural Phoenix Geek Girl Brunch (June 13, aaahh), flying back to Phoenix for Comicon for 5 days, interviewing and then GETTING (AHhHhHHH) a new job and of course, unpacking. It has been a very VERY busy couple of months here, but it looks like the dust is finally starting to settle, and I’m going to get to start blogging more frequently again (hooray!).
So far, 2015 has been wonderful (especially in comparison to last year’s rocky road). It started out with a wonderful short-term contract position at a Phoenix branding agency called MM, and then Jeff getting a call from Carbine to start working on Wildstar. We had been trying to relocate to California anyways, so it was perfect. I spent a couple of months away from Jeff while I finished out my contract at MM and packed, and then I was on my way! The same day that I flew back to Phoenix for Comicon, I had an interview at BB Dakota for a graphic design position. While I was at Comicon, I received an offer and was asked to start the Tuesday after I flew back into town. It’s an incredible opportunity, and I just can’t believe how well everything is working out.
The weather is beautiful, I went to Disneyland yesterday. My dog is really excited about how many rabbits are by our new place, and Jeff really seems to like working at Carbine. So far everything is wonderful 🙂
So ya, that’s what’s new here. Over the next couple of days I’ll be sure to update you on Comicon and how I met Karl Urban and then cried (yup. it happened.). Talk to you soon!
